As an intermediate learner I am interested in knowing how to use "see" words

Hi @YuQinCai, @Constance_Fang and the ChinesePod team, my question is this:

I am a bit overwhelmed by the plethora of sight related verbs such as such as 瞧， 盯，瞪，凝望，瞻，覌，(and 40-50 more!).
I would like to become more expressive with my language and was wondering if you could help us to understand which of these expressive verbs are often used colloquially and their range of usage.

I think the following examples might help you out -

1. 他瞧都不瞧我一眼. He didn’t even look at me。 瞧 means look at.
2. 如果有人盯着我看，我一定会脸红。If someone stares at me, I will blush. 盯 means stare at.
3. 我当时很生气，于是我就瞪了他一眼。I was angry at the time, so I glanced at him.瞪 means glance at
4. 那个孩子很可怜地凝望着我，彷佛在乞求着什么。The child stared at me pitifully, as if begging for something. 凝望 is usually used in writings such as novel or poem.
5. 如同伟人一般高瞻远瞩。Foresighted like a great man. 瞻 is usually used in Chinese idiom or poem.
6. 我们学校组织我们观看了这部电影。Our school organized us to watch this movie. 观看 means watch. 观察 means observe.
