Grammar: Neither Nor

Hi ChinesePod team, my question is this:
How can one say the following sentences in Chinese:

  1. Today’s weather is neither too hot nor too cold.
  2. He speaks neither too fast nor too slow.

Hi Matija,

Here’s how you say the sentences in Chinese:

  1. Today’s weather is neither too hot nor too cold.
今天的天气不太热也不太冷。[jīn tiān de tiān qì bù tài rè yě bù tài lěng]
  2. He speaks neither too fast nor too slow.
他说话不太快也不太慢。[tā shuō huà bù tài kuài yě bù tài màn]

You can use the pattern 不太…也不太…to express neither too…nor too…
It follows the basic sentence structure (topic first, and then this pattern) and you can use it on actions (e.g. 说话) or nouns (e.g. 天气).

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more examples.
