I’m still making a very slow progress in the language but could someone please explain how 成语 and 歇后语 different from one another?

成语 chéng yǔ is like a proverb, a saying which is based on a short story everyone knows. Most of them are 4 characters.
For instance
愚公移山
井底之蛙
歇后语 xiē hòu yǔ is also a kind of saying but is composed of two parts often with pun.
For example
孔夫子搬家——净是输(书)
百日不下雨——久情（晴）
You say the first part, make a pause and say the second part. If some chinese guy says to you the first part you can answer with the second part.
