I have a quesition. Is it 审理？or 审判？

Hi @YuQinCai, @Constance_Fang @Fiona and the ChinesePod team, my question is this:
I was learning the new " 夸夸群; 制售假冒星巴克; 日本奥运会" piece. In the expansion, there is a sentence under “涉嫌”， it goes “她涉嫌欺诈，目前正在被审理。 ” Can you “审理” a person or just a “案件”， a case? I only knew “审判”.

You are correct to point out that we say 审理案件, not 审理犯人. In the expansion, the first half of the sentence (她涉嫌欺诈) refers to the case, which is being 审理. Although we don’t add a person directly after 审理, it’s correct to say the subject (the case and/or the person) is “正在接受审理”. Another word 审问 means to interrogate, and it’s appropriate to say 审问犯人.

The following phrases are correct:

  1. “审理案件”. “审理” is normally used against a case not a person.
  2. “他得到审判”. “审判” can be used against somebody.
  3. “审问犯人” “审问” is also used against somebody.
