listening to “Say it right” 6th lesson, and the tip about sounding the last sound as nasal, i was wondering if G is alway silent in ing, and ong as sometime i can hardly hear it e.g . zhong wu , yi jing, bei jing
Hello, Waldshaari ( 林小毛?;p)
In standard Mandarin phoneme system, the “g” in /-ing/ and /-ong/ and all the final places of the syllables are silent. But I do find some Mandarin speakers saying the “g” with a very very light [k], which sounds cute and not that annoying for me. : )
