There are numerous types of sticky rice dumplings depending on the region you are in! Here are a couple, but definitely not all of them:
- 中山粽子 [zhōng shān zòng zǐ] - Zhong Shan sticky rice dumplings
云南竹筒粽子 [yún nán zhú tǒng zòng zǐ] - Yun Nan bamboo sticky rice dumplings
北京粽子 [běi jīng zòng zǐ] - Beijing sticky rice dumplings
四川辣粽 [sì chuān là zòng] - SiChuan spicy sticky rice dumplings
客家灰棕 [kè jiā huī zōng] - Hakka grey sticky rice dumplings
湖州粽 [hú zhōu zòng] - HuZhou sticky rice dumplings.
So as you can see, the general term for sticky rice dumplings is 粽子 [zòng zǐ].
