I understand that differences between 在 and 是
Is that 是 is used like 我不是中国人
And
在 is used for a location, like
我在学校
The problem is while I am looking at other apps and lessons I found this sentence
这个女人在吃饭
So the question here is
1/ why didn’t we use 是 instead of 在
2/ if it is both correct what is the best way for a sentence like this to use 是 or 在

When followed by a verb, 在 functions like the English “-ing,” indicating that the verb is presently happening.

Their is the a good part and a bad part
The good part that i understand is
if it works like the (ing)
then that means i should always use 在 in situations like this ?
他在玩 . He is playing
But !
If i want to say he is working
Can i use this
他在工作. He is working
Or do i have to make it like this
他正在工作
(Why here is 正 but in other sentences i dont have to put it )

在 and 正在 are similar in meaning, but 正在 emphasizes that it is happening right now.
他在工作。
He is working.
他正在工作。
He is working right now.
