臭美 is very colloquial and it means to show off and to be full of oneself. This is used to describe people who are narcissistic and likes to brag but they are actually not special at all. Be careful though, it’s a rather negative word, and it sounds pretty rude, so use it with caution!
Here are a couple example sentences for you:
别臭美了，你长得没多好看！ “Don’t flatter yourself. You’re not that good-looking.”
他以为全班女生都喜欢他，真是臭美。“He thinks every girl in class likes him, he’s so full of himself.”
