Website and Apps Down (Back up soon)

At 17:45 Yesterday, our server experienced a crash resulting in outages across our website and apps.

We currently have our developers working around the clock trying to get things back up and running to resume normal service as soon as possible.

We are deeply sorry if this has impacted your studies in any way.

You can keep up to date on this issue here forum thread.

UPDATE: 22nd June NOON

The main website should be working but there are likely some issues with the following

  • load times
  • profile pictures
  • playlist artwork
  • Exercises not loading IN PROGRESS
  • pinyin not showing tone markers FIXED
  • random strings of code FIXED

Apps:

  • Should be working as normal (at slower speed initially)
  • No playlist artwork

Update: 9AM 23rd June:

Most of everything on the LiveSite is back in operation now, though it is VERY slow.
The reason for this that the database server is in Asia, while the app server is now in New York.
So any request literally requires an ā€œaround the world hopā€. Once things are working again, we will have a scheduled downtime and migrate the database over to improve speed.

Things that are confirmed not to be working as of today:

  1. BLOG POSTS
  2. ASSESSMENT SERVER
  3. DICTIONARY
  4. CAROUSEL

Please help to get it back up soon. Iā€™m using this website everyday and donā€™t wanna stop for long. Thanks team

Everything seems to be working mostly fine now, except in dialogue/expansion/grammar section of lessons, the pinyin tones are being displayed as numbers rather than accented letters. See attached pic. Just letting you know in case it isnā€™t a known issue at this stage

Yes, most things seems to working fine now  Just one thing I noticed, in case you guys havenā€™t, if you search for a word in the dictionary, it says there arenā€™t any sample sentences to display (which isnā€™t right - I tested with different words). But maybe this will sort itself out once the website is back to ā€˜full healthā€™

Thanks to the developers for your hard work!

Still cannot access Vocabulary/Expansion/Grammar/Exercises after the crash. Will these features be again accessible this coming weekend?

Still no sample sentences in the glossary either. Iā€™m dependent on these!

Dialogue wonā€™t load in the app for me. Keeps saying retry.
