It seems to me that the sentences you mentioned are mostly greetings when you meet someone for the first time (久仰久仰, 幸会幸会) and when you say goodbye (多多保重).
These phrases can be used in social settings outside of wechat as well, and we happen to have a new series on social etiquette and polite phrases!
