What's difference between 恰好 and 刚好?

Hi ChinesePod team, my question is this:

What’s the difference (if any) between 恰好 and 刚好? I understand that they both can mean something like “just so happen”.

Very good question! 恰好 and 刚好 are actually exchangeable. They both refer to “just right”. You can say, 刚好你来了 or 恰好你来了 “You’re right on time; You’re just in time” which have exactly the same meaning. They even have the same expressions such as 刚刚好 and 恰恰好. Although the former one is more commonly seen.

Thanks, Becca

No problem, you’re welcome!
