I’d very much like to see regular exercises on word order in sentences. Currently one has rearrange order of sentences in every lesson, which exercises reading and understanding, but for HSK exams for example, one needs to get the word order right and I think it’s the most challenging aspect of translation for me.
this has also been mentioned elsewhere recently and is a great idea. I also find this aspect one of the most challenging. Thanks for raising.
I agree, and I think whenever it would make sense in English, even if awkward, or not the way it would normally be said in English, if it is comprehensible, why not give more of a literal translation so the word order is easier to learn.
